The basis of the Sleep System is a two-sided slatted base, custom-made according to the customer's physical proportions to provide ideal support for their body. Anatomically correct support for the spine is a key factor for effective regeneration of the intervertebral discs during sleep. A thin mattress wrapped in a removable cover is then placed on the slatted base. The entire system excels not only in its ergonomic function, but also in its excellent breathability.
Customers can choose their preferred mattress material and cover type, including its height (whether it will be made only for the mattress or also for the slatted bed base). The main image shows the Sleep System in the version with a lower type of "Mercedes" cover (in this case, only the mattress is wrapped).
Delivery time: 2 to 4 weeks (made to order – the exact date depends on the dimensions and delivery address).

Two-sided slatted bed base
The two-sided slatted base fulfills the most important function of the entire system. Its task is to create optimal support for your body so that your spine lies flat and your body forms a double "S" shape. However, every person is unique, so we manufacture each base individually to achieve ideal support. Our goal is to achieve this optimal support by using a carefully selected combination of individual foam blocks that fill the space between two rows of beech slats.
To this end, we offer unique advice and service for this product. Due to the replaceability of the foam blocks, the slatted base has a virtually unlimited service life. The supporting surface consists of beech slats that are close together to distribute the pressure between them, which is then transferred to the fillings between the two rows of slats. You can replace the foam blocks at any time as part of our service for a nominal fee covering the cost of the material.

Insulation mattress
An insulating mattress is placed on the slatted base to insulate the body from the slatted surface, ensuring that the entire system is not only anatomical but also comfortable. Customers can choose from two different materials, but the mattress must always be thin to maintain the support provided by the slatted base.
A popular and classic solution is a high-quality HR cold foam mattress with a height of eight centimeters. An alternative to this foam material is our latex core. It is ten centimeters high and provides the user of the Sleep System with a high level of comfort without losing the necessary support for the spine from the slatted base. Latex mattresses are popular around the world for their long life and excellent hygienic properties. Within our System, we recommend the latex core especially to more sensitive customers who prefer a mattress that feels softer. On the other hand, we do not recommend the latex core for people weighing more than 105 kilograms.

Removable covering
We pack the this mattress in special removable covers. As the name suggests, the removable cover can be easily detached and washed or cleaned. We currently offer two types of removable covers.
The basic "Mercedes" version is made of durable and elastic fabric without any filling. The "Mercedes" cover is made of a blend of Lycra and polyester and can be washed, ideally at 30°C.
The best-selling option is the practical and comfortable "Deluxe" removable cover (see image). The outer fabric of the cover is a blend of linen, viscose, and polyester, while the filling of the upper surface is made of comfortable, breathable fleece. A practical advantage of the "Deluxe" cover is that only the upper part of the cover can be removed.

Anatomical pillows
The Sleep System concept also includes anatomical pillows, which primarily support the cervical spine. The ergonomically correct shape of the pillow facilitates blood circulation and helps relax strained muscles. The pillow filling is made of proven viscoelastic foam, also known as lazy or memory foam. This material reacts to heat (e.g., from the human body), shaping itself precisely to the part of the body it is in contact with, thus ensuring not only the aforementioned support but also maximum comfort when lying down. There are two different sizes to choose from, with both types offering the same level of firmness.
Service – Long-term durability of the Sleep System
After investing in a Sleep System, there is no need to buy a new mattress every few years. Users can respond to wear and tear over the years and replace individual components of the system at discounted prices as needed. The Sleep System thus has a virtually unlimited lifespan.

What the physiotherapist says
Back pain is the most common reason for patients to visit our rehabilitation department. Its causes are varied, ranging from insufficient physical activity and predominantly static loads, such as sedentary work, to conditions following injuries. In most cases, pain manifests itself during various physical activities or excessive static loads. Surprisingly often, however, patients complain of back pain after waking up, or in worse cases, during the night. Nighttime pain tends to be the most stressful for patients, as they expect sleep to bring rest and relief from the pain that accompanies them during the day.
This apparent paradox can be explained. Joints that are already affected (by osteoarthritis, ligament stiffness, etc.) begin to hurt after a certain period of time in a stationary position and especially when changing position. Similarly, the spine, which contains many intervertebral joints, can send painful signals, especially when sleeping in an inappropriate position and also, for example, when turning. An unfavorable position, whether on the back, side, or stomach, is of course caused by a disorder of the spine itself, but it is "supported" by a bad mattress, whether too hard or too soft. Likewise, perfect muscle relaxation is necessary for painless sleep. The muscles surrounding our spine tend to stiffen when it is affected, even when lying down, and even more so if the mattress on which we sometimes spend up to a third of our lives does not perfectly adapt to our body. Muscles that are under constant tension for a long period of time begin to send "danger signals" to our brain, which we perceive as back pain.
Nighttime and morning back pain usually begins with advancing age, as the spine gradually deteriorates and our sleep often worsens. Older people appreciate the quality of sleep systems more because they can feel a big change. However, this does not mean that we can sleep on anything when we are young. The correct sleeping position is important for the spine from childhood onwards, the difference being that in childhood and youth, an unsuitable mattress often does not have an immediate effect.
The most important thing you can do to prevent back pain is to get regular exercise, and no mattress, no matter how good, can replace that. However, a high-quality mattress that is individually tailored to your body and can be adjusted as needed can significantly reduce existing problems or help prevent them.
